- Camps emphasize fundamentals and sport specific skills.
- At the beginning of each camp, the participants are grouped according to age. As skill levels become apparent, campers are grouped according to ability.
- Camps are coached by SI coaches and players.
- Camp holidays are July 4, 5, and 6, 2018 Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
- Camp size is limited. Camps are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Grade levels listed below refer to grade levels as of fall 2018.
- School cafeteria is proctored free of charge from noon - 1 pm for any campers who are attending both the Academic Program, SI Kids Camps (Formerly Streets of SF) Morning and Afternoon Camps, Strength & Conditioning Morning and Afternoon Camps and other Afternoon Camps.

San Francisco Tenacity Summer Camp 2017
Co-Hosted by St. Ignatius Athletics
Join us for 4 fun filled days of lacrosse summer camp! Our Tenacity camps are geared for girls entering 1st-8th grades and are designed to not only challenge experienced players, but also engage new ones! We group girls based on their age and skill level and focus on stickwork, individual skills including shooting, dodging, and footwork, as well as team offensive & defensive concepts…mixed with a whole lot of fun!
The camp will focus on all aspects of the game from individual position work, situation drills, hitting stations and games!
- 10:1 camper to coach ratio

What: A skills oriented camp covering the fundamentals of basketball. This includes ball handling, shooting, passing, rebounding, footwork, and defense. The camp will consist of multiple stations for a smaller coach-to-player ratio, and include both fun and competitive games.
Where: Come to the main gym on the first day of camp.
Clothing & Equipment: All campers must have basketball shoes, shorts, and socks. Please bring water and a daily snack.

What: Camp for members of the Class of 2021. View the Cat Camp Schedule. This camp provides the incoming freshmen with the opportunity to meet their classmates and get to know the campus. Each day the campers participate in a variety of activities. This year all campers will enjoy (Tentative) an art class, a theater/improv session, strength & conditioning, track & field, high school counseling, and introduction to our library. Students will enjoy (Tentative) a Wildcat bowling competition, a Giants game, and day on the green which includes a pool party, table tennis, frisbee and outdoor games. Please print, complete, and bring this linked permission slip to Cat Camp on the first day of camp.
Where: On the first day of camp, meet at the Orradre Courtyard in the far North side of the campus.
Clothing & Equipment: (Tentative) Dress for two sports sessions per Cat Camp Schedule. Bring a T-shirt to use during the studio art session (Tentative). Wear comfortable clothing for the (Tentative) Wildcat Bowling Competition on TBA. Bring your (Tentative) bathing suits & towels for the pool party on Friday. Campers will receive a special Cat Camp performance shirt.
Lunch & Snacks: Hot lunch and snacks will be provided each day and are included in the price of the camp.
What: A skills-oriented camp covering the basic techniques of crew. Camp will be held rain or shine. There will be both land and water workouts done on both erg machines and crew shells. Depending on the weather, campers may work at St. Ignatius on additional erg machines. Depending on the weather the last Friday of each week will be race day: a 1000 meter erg race and 1000 meter row (by 6's). Please complete and sign the Summer Crew Camp Permission Slip for Crew 1-2-3 or 4 and bring it with you on first day of camp.
Where: First day of camp only: Campers will report to the SI swimming pool at 12:15 pm for the required swim test. Afterwards, students will then board the bus to go to Lake Merced. Tuesday through Friday: Campers must board the bus by 12:30 pm each day to Lake Merced. Campers must be picked up each day by 4 pm at the Lake Merced Boathouse
Clothing & Equipment: A backpack with sweatshirt, extra T-shirt (long-sleeved or short-sleeved, gym shorts/tights/cycling shorts/rowing shorts, knit hat or baseball cap, optional sunglasses, running shoes with an extra pair of socks, flip flops, windbreaker jacket (Gore-tex if you have one), water bottle (cycling style soft plastic if possible). Bring a bathing suit and towel for the first day swim test.
If you are registered for this camp, please bring signed Summer Crew Camp Permission Slip for Crew 1-2-3 or 4 on first day of camp.
What: Designed to help athletes of all levels prepare for the fall Cross Country season and/or improve their running skills and fitness. Runners will be grouped by fitness and ability level. Classroom instruction will supplement the afternoon workouts.
Where: Report to the east bleachers on the football field on the first day of camp. On subsequent days you will board a CYO bus or school van and need to be at the White Zone by 12:45. Each day of running will feature a different location: various locations in Golden Gate Park, Crissy Field, and Land's End. The campers will travel to one of these destinations in order to vary running venues. Please complete and sign the Permission Slip and bring it with you to the first day of camp. Thank you!

Clothing & Equipment: Every runner should have good running shoes, socks, shorts, T-shirt, and sweats. Bring a water bottle and snack every day.

What: A skills-oriented camp covering the basic techniques of field hockey. Instructional highlights include offensive and defensive individual skills training, small game strategies, and game situations.
Where: Field Hockey Camp will be held at the JB Murphy Field at SI.
Clothing & Equipment: Campers may wear tennis shoes or cleats (soccer cleats are ok; baseball spikes are not). Please wear shorts or sweats. Bring a hockey stick if you have one, if not, one will be loaned to you. Please bring water and a daily snack.
Football Camp (Skills): Rising 6th - 9th graders; 1 - 4 pm
Football Camp (Pads): Rising 7th - 9th graders; 1 - 4 pm

SI Football Skills Camp
SI Football Skills Camp is a 5-day camp designed to work the "skill" positions on the field. From the Running Backs, Tight Ends, Receivers and Quarterbacks to the Defensive Backs and Line Backers, players will learn detailed position skills and fundamentals that will carry over into 7 on 7 play and competition. All players will receive the very best teaching of the proper techniques in the skills of route running, catching and carrying the football, drop back passing and handling the ball off as well as man to man coverage by the St. Ignatius Football Coaching Staff. Athletes will be exposed to film study as well as training techniques for the sport of football. Players of similar ability, experience and age will be grouped to ensure proper coaching and learning by all involved.
SI Football Padded Camp
SI Football Padded Camp is a 5-day camp that works the fundamentals and skills of all eleven positions in the field. From the Lines to the Offensive and Defensive Backs and Quarterbacks, players will learn detailed position skills and fundamentals that will carry over into full team play and competition. All players will receive the very best teaching in the skills of blocking and tackling, ensuring proper technique in these fundamentals in addition to route running, catching and carrying the football, drop back passing and handling the ball off as well as man to man coverage by the St. Ignatius Football Coaching Staff. Players of similar ability, experience and age will be grouped to ensure proper coaching and learning by all involved. Athletes will watch film of practice sessions with coaches to better learn their football skills and techniques. Athletes will also learn training techniques for the sport of football.
Junior Cats Flag Football CANCELLED
What: Junior Cats Flag Football teaches the basics of football fundamentals in a competitive, controlled atmosphere. Campers will learn the basic fundamentals of catching and throwing the football as well as route running and man to man coverage. Campers will be split into teams according to age group. Coaches will work fundamentals for the first half of camp. Teams will then compete against each other for the second half of camp in a controlled, competitive game setting. Come out and join the excitement. Bring your A-game!
Where: JB Murphy Field
What: This camp is designed for boys with little or no lacrosse experience. The camp does not require the camper to have a helmet or pads. In fact, no pads will be used during this session. The camp will focus on fitness and the basic skills necessary to play lacrosse. Boys will learn how to catch, throw, cradle, shoot, and play defense using body position. They will learn the different positions in lacrosse in order to develop a further interest in the game.
Where: Meet in the east bleachers near the press box on the football field on the first day of camp.
Clothing & Equipment: Campers may wear tennis shoes or cleats (soccer cleats are ok; baseball spikes are not). Please wear shorts or sweats. Please bring a lacrosse stick. SI has a limited number of loaner lacrosse sticks. Please bring water and a daily snack.

What: Softball camp will focus on developing individual skills and techniques in such areas as: throwing - hitting - fielding. Daily instruction will provide proper technique and skills progression to help all campers improve their skills.
Where: Softball Camp will be held at Fairmont Field. Students will board the bus in the White Zone at 12:30 pm and transported to Fairmont Field. They will board the bus for the return trip at 3:30 pm in order to get back to SI by 4 pm. If you wish to pick up your child at Fairmont Field, please note that on the permission slip. Any camper whose parent is not at Fairmont Field by 3:30 pm will be taken back to SI. Directions to Fairmont Field can be found on the SI website at http://www.siprep.org/directions/index.cfm. Please return the Summer Softball Camp Permission Slip on the first day of camp.
Clothing & Equipment: Campers will need to have their own glove, a small snack and water each day.

Cost: $275/week ($200 for 3-day camp week of July 5 - July 7, 2017)
What: Weeks 1-2-4-or 5 Cross-Training for the Future HS Athlete (9-noon) is the first phase of our Long Term Athletics Development (LTAD) program at SI. While this camp is open to rising 6th-9th graders, it is strongly encouraged to incoming student-athletes preparing for upcoming tryouts at SI. This camp is a demanding experience that includes physical fitness testing, daily weight room and classroom instructional sessions and competitive physical and mental challenges all designed to prepare the camper for the rigors of high school athletics!
Week 3: Wildcat Beach Boot Camp (1-4 pm) will incorporate a variety of training outside of the normal training environment. Our daily routine will take place on and near the SI campus. Campers can expect to learn many alternative exercises that do not incorporate machines or traditional free weight exercises. Rocks, logs, rope climbing, body weight movements are the norm. Relays and team challenges are a staple of our daily bootcamp. This camp promises to be the most challenging and most fun week of training you could imagine!
Where: SI Weight Room located next to the upper field underneath the gym.
Clothing & Equipment: Athletic shoes, loose fitting sweats and/or shorts, a T-shirt and/or sweatshirt. Camp is conducted both inside and outside. Sunscreen is advised. Please bring water and a daily snack.
What: Instruction and drills on the fundamental strokes including forehand, backhand, volleys, and serves. Campers will have the opportunity to play both singles and doubles.
Where: This camp will be held in the school cafeteria (Carlin Commons).
Clothing & Equipment: Wear tennis shoes and shorts (weather permitting). Equipment will be provided. Please bring water and a daily snack.
What: Instruction and drills on the fundamental strokes including forehand, backhand, volleys, and serves. Campers will have the opportunity to play both single and double sets, plus games.
Where: SI tennis courts above the parking lot (located at the corner of 37th Avenue & Rivera)
Clothing & Equipment: Wear tennis shoes and shorts (weather permitting). Campers must bring a tennis racket. Please bring water and a daily snack.
What: Campers will experience all the track and field events from the 100 meter dash to the mile and from the high jump to the discus throw. Campers will compete in a track meet at the end of the week.
Where: Meet in the west bleachers opposite the press box near the football field on the first day of camp.
Clothing & Equipment: Running shoes and shorts or sweats. Please bring water and a daily snack.
What: Instruction & drills focus on the fundamental skills of passing, setting, hitting, serving, blocking, and digging. A major portion of the camp will be playing games.
Where: Meet in the gym on the first day of camp.
Clothing & Equipment: Wear athletic shoes (volleyball shoes, cross trainers, or court shoes) and shorts with a comfortable T-shirt. Knee pads are recommended. Please bring water and a daily snack.
