St. Ignatius

The library maintains a subscription to Academic Search Premier, a database housed by EBSCOhost that focuses on academic journals. You will likely find that this is a very helpful site for your research. We also subscribe to JSTOR, a very deep academic database, rich in scientific study. Between Academic Search Premier and JSTOR, you should be able to find most of what you need.

Additionally, the Social Studies Research Network and SAGE Journals may be helpful resources. You will not need passwords to access either of these online resources.

Formatting and Citing:

APA has specific guidelines on formatting papers and citing sources that are specific to the field. The library has two copies of Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, 6th Edition, in the reference section under R 808.066 APA. This is your best resource for specific guidelines.

OWL Purdue has an online resource focused on APA guidelines that can help, as well. Although it isn't as detailed as the manual, it is very helpful and will provide you most of what you need.
