NIcholas Calabrese, MFT Wellness Coordinator
Nicholas Calabrese began his Jesuit education at Jesuit High School in Carmichael, CA. He then attended Santa Clara University to obtain a Bachelors in Psychology, and completed a Masters in Clinical Psychology at Notre Dame de Namur in Belmont. He is licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist and has provided psychotherapy and clinical support at both public and private schools as well as non-profit organizations. He also maintains a small private practice on the peninsula, working primarily with adolescents and their families. Mr. Calabrese will be serving as the Wellness Coordinator to continue to develop the Sophomore Wellness Seminar and provide support to students through the Wellness Program. Pam Spaulding, MFT Wellness Counselor
Pam Spaulding returns to us this year as our Wellness Counselor. She holds a master's degree in clinical psychology and a California Marriage and Family Therapy License. She has previous experience as a school counselor for grades K-12 in both private and public settings. Mrs. Spaulding has also worked therapeutically with adults, teens and families in community-based, non-profit mental health agencies. Currently, she has a private psychotherapy practice in Burlingame. Additionally, she is a group leader for Kids Turn, a program assisting families in the process of separation and divorce. Pam Spaulding will be continuing the development of a comprehensive Wellness Program here at SI in addition to making herself available to students and their families for their social and emotional needs. Jenene Slatt, MFT Wellness Counselor
Ms. Jenene Slatt joins the Wellness Team this year as our Interim Wellness Coordinator, covering for Ms. Jennifer Krasner while she is on maternity leave this fall. A graduate of St Ignatius College Prep (class of '97), Ms. Slatt received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Tulane University in May of 2001. Along with a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Dominican University (2006), Ms. Slatt also maintains a Marriage and Family Therapy license (2011). For over a decade, she has worked as a school-based mental health services provider to Bay Area youth and their families, specializing in the treatment of alcohol and substance use disorders. Additionally, Ms. Slatt has extensive experience as a psychotherapist in the private practice setting, where she has provided clinical support to adolescents and their parents. In September of 2012, Ms. Slatt returned to SI as a Sophomore Wellness Seminar teacher. While she will continue to serve in this role, as well as to aid in the further development of our comprehensive Wellness Program, Ms. Slatt is now available to meet with students and their families 1:1 in order to support the social and emotional needs of the SI community.
