How does the general population testing schedule compare to the extended time testing schedule?

Are we in the Learning Center for finals?

Short answer: No.

Due to the number of students requiring accommodations during finals, the Learning Center space will be closed during finals week. Instead, the LC is taking over a number of classrooms on the third floor: 307, 308, 309, 310, 311, and 313.

What time should I arrive?

Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your first exam of the day.

For example, if you don't have a test until 10:15 AM, you don't have to be on campus until 10:00 AM.

Remember: Go to the 3rd floor and not the Learning Center.

What should you bring with you to each final exam?

Short answer: Any and all things that you will need to be successful on your test. Plan ahead and come prepared. Keep in mind that the Learning Center cannot offer "extras" of these items for you to use.

A few likely items to bring:

  • Pencils
  • Pens
  • Binder Paper
  • Graph Paper
  • iPad - WITH LOCKDOWN BROWSER INSTALLED
  • Any permitted notes/books/notecards
  • Graphing calculator
  • 4-function calculator (if this accommodation applies to you)
  • Compass
  • Straightedge
  • Laptop (if this accommodation applies to you)
  • Snacks
  • Water
  • Backpack (to be left at the front of the room with your cell phone and all other "unusable" items in it)

How do I check in? How do I know what room I will be in?

Your proctors will take attendance in your testing rooms. No need to check in formally with a LC Staff member.

Room rosters will be posted for every classroom on the wall outside of Room 311.

The "most likely" room for each class is as follows (subject to change):

307 - 2021
308 - 2020/2021
309 - 2019
310 - various
313 - 2018

When in doubt... check the room rosters posted on the wall next to Room 311!

I don't test until the afternoon. Can I come early to finish my test?

Short answer: No.

We have limited space and resources for each testing slot. Please only arrive during your designated time slot.

Keep in mind that you are free to leave when you're finished with your test and as long as the standard time room has been dismissed for the day.

100% Extended Time

All students with 100% Extended Time or any other special schedules due to conflicts will receive their individual schedules in a separate email.

Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the times listed in your individual schedules.
