SI helps those affected by the fires
Posted 10/16/2017 12:33PM

The SI community raised money and supplies to help the victims of the North Bay fires.

Faculty, students and parents donated $6,000 to the American Red Cross, and we sent a van filled with supplies to the Redwood Empire Food Bank.

Coach Rob Marcaletti '96 (right) and Garrett Cason '19 of the boys' basketball team and Chris Packard, head coach of the boys' lacrosse team, also traveled to Travis Air Force Base to serve meals to the First Responders fighting the fires. They brought food with them that had been ordered for the Harvard-Notre Dame lacrosse match that had been cancelled.

Many have asked about how we can help our friends at Cardinal Newman High School. We have been in contact with their administration, and will continue to keep you updated on the ways we can support their recovery in the coming weeks and months, as they identify their needs.

Please continue to keep families who grieve lost loved ones, displaced people, fire fighters and first responders in your prayers.

Pictured above are Jocelyn Sideco '95 and Michaella Kumli '18. They drove a van filled with donations of diapers, formula, food and clothing to the Redwood Empire Food Bank.
