SF Chinatown Lions Club donates to SI in honor of Tiffany Hue '18, winner of the Outstanding Teen Chinatown Title

The San Francisco Chinatown Lions Club held its annual Teen Chinatown Scholarship Charity Gala June 18. This is a platform for the community's brightest teens to show their talented performance. Together with their scholastic achievement and volunteer social works, the organization gives out scholarship awards. For the Outstanding Teen (the highest title for this Gala), the group also give the school that she or he representing a scholarship award too.

At its event, it presented the top honor to Tiffany Hue '18, who was named Miss Outstanding Teen Chinatown 2017 on April 29. in recognition of her outstanding scholastic achievement, volunteer social works and talented performance. The Lions also awarded SI $1000 at its Teen Gala Appreciation Luncheon. SI's new co-director for equity and inclusion, Maricel Hernandez, attended to represent SI and accept the check. She is pictured here with Tiffany and a representative from the Lions Club.
