September 30, 1928-January 31, 2018
Walter Everett Puccini was born on September 30th, 1928, to loving parents, Everett and Ann Puccini. He was a native San Franciscan and attended St. Anne's, St. Ignatius Class of 1946, and USF Class of 1950. He took over the family business, Puccini Meats on Chestnut Street in San Francisco for over 30 years. He spent many weekends up at the family ranch in Kenwood; his heaven on earth.
Walter found the love of his life, Betty Scarpa, and they were married in 1957. They had over 60 wonderful years of marriage together. They raised four children together, Janet (David) Salyer, Jeffrey and Matthew, Ken (Charlene) Puccini, Karen (Paul) DeMartini, Laura, Alissa and Steven and Laura Puccini.
Walter was a family man who led by example and was and still is admired by his family. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. Walter's favorite pastimes were tending to his vineyard in Kenwood, hunting at Gum Tree Farms, and family vacations to Graeagle.
The family would like to thank Alma Via for their wonderful care of Walter.
A Funeral Mass celebrating Walter's life will be held at St. Gabriel's Church, 2559 40th Ave, S.F. on February 8, 2018 at 11am; burial to follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, Colma. Donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association or your favorite charity.
