They support the Jesuit philosophy of cura personalis and cura communis, caring for the individual and maintaining positive, respectful relationships with all members of the community. They also support Jesuit commitment to a faith that does justice.
They meet the needs of students of differing backgrounds and abilities and encouraging students to be risk-takers who learn from their mistakes. They also model and encourage an enthusiastic desire for lifelong learning.
They are also well prepared and engage in ongoing professional development. Nearly 100 hold masters degrees, and another five have earned their doctoral degrees.

Ms. Anne Stricherz
Anne Stricherz has taught in the Religions Studies department and coached both girls cross country and crew since 2003. Anne attended Carondelet High School and the University of Notre Dame, where she rowed for four years. Anne then taught for two years in rural, south Louisiana through the Alliance for Catholic Education, while earning her Masters in Education. Before returning to the Bay Area, Anne lived and worked at the National Catholic Education Association in Washington, DC. In 2010, she created a blog as well as an elective course —Sports and Spirituality. It combines her two great passions. Anne enjoys playing golf and running; she is an active fan of the PGA, the San Francisco Giants and all things ND.
