Ms. Kaitlin Shorrock Chen
I grew up in Marin County and graduated from SI in 2003, participating in choir, water polo, swimming, student government, Block Club, Insignis, and various other clubs. I continued on to study Anthropology and Preprofessional Studies (Premedicine) at the University of Notre Dame, where I continued to play water polo, sing, and get involved in student government. Following graduation, I was a full-time volunteer with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps: Northwest for two years. The first was spent in Omak, WA, teaching at a K-9 school on an Indian reservation and the second in Portland, OR, working at the Recuperative Care Program for homeless men and women recovering after hospital discharge. Following those two years of service, I returned home to the Bay Area and to SI as a coach and teacher.
