They support the Jesuit philosophy of cura personalis and cura communis, caring for the individual and maintaining positive, respectful relationships with all members of the community. They also support Jesuit commitment to a faith that does justice.
They meet the needs of students of differing backgrounds and abilities and encouraging students to be risk-takers who learn from their mistakes. They also model and encourage an enthusiastic desire for lifelong learning.
They are also well prepared and engage in ongoing professional development. Nearly 100 hold masters degrees, and another five have earned their doctoral degrees.

Mr. James Pruden
Jamie has worked in the technology industry for over 25 years... and found his passion for education after tenures at Claris Corporation (an Apple subsidiary) and Adobe Systems. He started his education career at the Castro Valley Adult School as an adult school instructor and lead on-site technician. He started working at St. Ignatius in September of 2004 and has held roles as Mac Guru, Business Systems Analyst and now Director of Information Technology.
Both of his daughters attended St. Ignatius and have gone on to completed college: Charlotte ('09) at the University of Wyoming and Andrea ('12) at Kalamazoo College in Michigan.
Jamie, an Army veteran, and his wife, Sherry, enjoy driving (on and off track) and traveling to visit family.
