They support the Jesuit philosophy of cura personalis and cura communis, caring for the individual and maintaining positive, respectful relationships with all members of the community. They also support Jesuit commitment to a faith that does justice.
They meet the needs of students of differing backgrounds and abilities and encouraging students to be risk-takers who learn from their mistakes. They also model and encourage an enthusiastic desire for lifelong learning.
They are also well prepared and engage in ongoing professional development. Nearly 100 hold masters degrees, and another five have earned their doctoral degrees.

Ms. Michelle Levine
Michelle Nevin Levine joined Si in the Fall of 1995 and worked as both a personal and college counselor for 13 years. She then went on to become SI Dean of Students for the next 9 years and returns this year as our new Director of Counseling. She graduated with a BA in Developmental Psychology from California State University, Chico and went on to earn a Pupil Personnel Services Credential and MA in Educational Psychology from the University of San Francisco.
