The Spiritus Magis Award

The Spiritus Magis Award, inaugurated at the end of the school's sesquicentennial year of 2005, is presented by St. Ignatius College Preparatory to honor extraordinary achievement in public service, the arts and letters, science and medicine, and the Church.

The first two recipients were Dr. Peter Raven ’53, head of the Missouri Botanical Garden, and Peter Casey ’68, co-creator of Frasier, one of the most successful shows in TV history.
