Girls Who Code Club compete in Technovation

SI's Girls Who Code members competed last Friday, May 18 in the Senior Division of Technovation (Technovation Challenge) The team is composed of: Kailey Sjauwfoekloy '20, Andrea Torres '20, Abby Lam '20 and Stephanie Gilbert '20. They developed a business plan and an app coded entirely in XCode Swift called Motivators. They competed against 8 other high schools in the Senior division and lost to another Swift Coding team: WeAreEntrepreneurs=True. Motivators received accolades from the judges on the data gathering work they did as a team in tackling the issue of stress in High School. SI's Girls Who Code is proud of the work the Motivators did in further closing the gender equity gap in STEM.
