Bannan Theatre

Bannan Theatre, named for the Bannan brothers who graduated from SI and who started the Western Gear Corporation, is the first theatre built at the 2001 campus. It was updated in 2006 with new seats (with fold-down desktops) that can transform the room into a large lecture hall. Legendary Chronicle columnist Herb Caen attended a production of My Fair Lady once and called it “the best entertainment in our town.” The theatre also features a computerized sound and lighting system and a sophisticated tech program. SI’s graduates have gone on to careers as Broadway and Hollywood actors and directors as well as lighting directors and sound engineers.
