Wiegand Theatre
The E.L. Wiegand Theatre, built in 1994 as part of the Genesis III drive, is a flexible “black box” theatre that can be used for plays and dance performances or for guest speakers. In 2014, SI celebrated the 20th anniversary of the theatre with a production of The Matchmaker. The theatre is named for the foundation in Reno, Nevada, that donated money for both the theatre and for one of SI’s first computer labs.
