About Multimedia Design Instructor Don Gamble

Dr. Don Gamble has been a teacher at Saint Ignatius for the past 20 years and taught a wide variety of subjects including biology, anatomy & physiology, computer science, robotics, and multimedia design.

Don received his BS in biology from Penn State, his MA in education from San Francisco State, and his doctorate in education from the University of San Francisco. Additionally Don received a minor in multimedia studies from San Francisco State and a minor in Digital Media and Learning from the University of San Francisco.

An avid fan of science, technology, and the arts, Don has been a catalyst in the creation of a number of programs at the school. In addition to facilitating the growth of the digital arts program at SI, Don co-founded the student-driven Saint Ignatius Television (SITV) program at the school, the SI FIRST Robotics Team 5924, and was the driving force behind the creation of the FIRST Robotics San Francisco Regional competition held annually at the school in March that is attended by teams from around the world.

Living at the intersection between technology and the arts, Don has been able to pass on his passion for both areas to his students who have gone on to professional careers, in music, video production, visual effects (VFX), marketing, animation, and design.
