Big Fish

Swimmers who have passed level 6 and wish to continue swimming to prepare for the Hammer- head Swim Team are welcome. Practice covers the 4 competitive strokes, starts & turns. The coaches have split the group into two groups and will inform you of your practice time, it’s fine to attend either time if your schedule doesn’t allow for your assigned time.
Cost: $70 per month.

Saturday:

1:30pm - 2:30pm (Barracuda, more difficult)
2:30pm - 3:30pm (Piranha, Less difficult)

Sunday:

2:30pm - 3:30pm (Piranha, Less difficult)
3:30pm - 4:30pm (Barracuda, more difficult)

Hammerhead Swim Team

The Hammerhead Swim Team is a year-round competitive swim team offering high-quality professional coaching and technique instruction for all ages and abilities. The goal is to provide every member an opportunity to improve swimming skills and achieve success at his or her level of ability, from novice to international competitor. There are time standards to determine your level.

Public Lap, Lessons, & Recreation Swim

St. Ignatius has discontinued general public access to the Herbst pool. All public swim lessons, including group, private, and semi-private, have been discontinued. Daily and weekend lap and recreation swim has also been discontinued. In the continuing effort to ensure the safety of our campus, we can no longer accommodate swim hours for the general public.

We recommend: SF Recreation & Parks pools, USF Koret Pool, and UCSF pool for alternative lap swimming.
