All things “behind the scenes” for SI Performing Arts
Technical Theater at SI offers students the opportunity to be involved in set construction, lighting design, stage management, sound operation, as well as participating backstage in all performing arts productions throughout the year. Students meet 2 to 3 times a week and get hands-on experience fulfilling the technical needs of the current production.
Stage Crew is responsible for the scenery, lighting and sound for all Fine Arts Productions. Students may be involved with building or painting sets, hanging and focusing lights, stage managing productions, and/or being a part of the Run Crews for specific productions. Please email Technical Theater Director, Mr. David Lam (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you would like to participate in stage crew.
David is proud to have joined the St. Ignatius performing arts team in 2019. He comes from a technical theater background with an emphasis in lighting design and stage management. He is enjoying his time getting to know the community at SI and looks forward to continuing to develop a robust technical theater program in which the students are empowered to take on a substantial role in helping creating quality theater.
