Eleventh Grade - Wednesday, Aug. 26, 1-2:00 p.m.
Twelfth Grade - Thursday, Aug. 27, 11 a.m.-12:15 p.m.
All students will begin this year with an important orientation that includes SI's renewed commitment to Equity and Inclusion, including information on how the student body will engage in identity formation during their time at SI and how students will help create a more inclusive environment at St. Ignatius. Ms. Maricel Hernandez, Director of Equity and Inclusion, will host a panel of speakers (administration, faculty/staff, and current students) that will address racism, racial equity, and inclusivity at St. Ignatius. This dialogue may not be easy or comfortable, and it is a conversation that we are all responsible for engaging in as people with and for others, committed to justice, and open to growth. It is one of many conversations this year that will help you grow as an Ignatian and will help SI become a better community.
Note to ninth graders: You will participate in this discussion together with your Big Cats. Following the discussion, the Big Cats will have a follow-up FaceTime or Zoom call with you.
The individual Zoom links for each orientation will be emailed prior to the events.
Your student council leaders, Mrs. Finn and Mr. Glosser will stay in communication with you as to when intramurals, performing arts, athletics, clubs and other fun activities will begin this fall. Thank you for your understanding and patience. We look forward to seeing you as soon as possible.
