Announcements
iPad Training
All SI students are required to have an iPad. To learn how to use important educational apps, they must complete a self-directed training course on the iPad they will use for school. On Aug. 1, new assignments will appear in the Canvas course students began in June. Those assignments are due Aug. 15 at 6 p.m. For questions, email SI_librarians@siprep.org.
Performing Arts Auditions
Interested in theater, music, or dance performance? See the Performing Arts Auditions page for information about when auditions will be held and who to contact if you have any questions. All students interested in the performing arts are welcome to attend the kick-off meeting on Aug. 19, at 3 p.m., in Bannan Theatre.
Athletics Tryouts and Registration
Fall sports' tryout information has been posted to the Athletics home page, with most tryouts beginning Aug. 8. For more information and any questions, you may find coaches' email addresses on our coaches contact doc. For Frosh Football, specifically, the tryout signup deadline is Monday, Aug. 1, and tryouts begin Monday, Aug. 8. Please see the Frosh Football Letter for details about signing up for tryouts, including medical clearance and equipment distribution.
To participate in SI Athletics, including tryouts, you must register to play through SI’s FamilyID system. As a part of this process, you will need to upload SI’s Ticket to Play Medical Clearance Form. The ticket to play requires a physical exam with a doctor. We strongly encourage you to schedule this exam between June 1 and Aug. 1 to maintain athletic eligibility for the entire school year. The FamilyID website opened for registration on June 1. Please do not register until you are ready to upload your ticket to play.
Bus Service Registration
Registration for SI bus service to and from Marin County and San Mateo County will open on July 7 at 10 a.m. See SI's transportation page for bus routes and stops, the required consent form, and updated fees. If you have any further questions about bus service, you may reach out to Kathleen McKeon at kmckeon@siprep.org.
Visual Arts
The visual arts program at SI includes classes on photography, sculpture, studio art, art and architecture, art and nature, sacred symbols, and multimedia design. You can see some recent examples of student work in several slideshows shared with our community and read more about our visual and performing arts programs in the Arts section of our website.
San Francisco School Health Form
A completed San Francisco School Health Form and proof of vaccination are due July 1. Upload the completed form and an image of the student's COVID-19 vaccination card into SI's registration system. If you have any questions, email Katie Kohmann at kkohmann@siprep.org.
Summer Reading
See your summer reading assignments for English, social science, and religious studies classes posted on the summer reading page.
Math and Language Placements
Final Math and Language placements are now available for viewing in our registration system. Please log in to the registration system using your SI Registration ID and the password you originally created. If you have forgotten your password, please use the reset password link on the login page.

Registration for Cat Camp is Now Open
Cat Camp is exclusively for students entering their frosh year at SI. The goals of this camp are for students to meet and bond with classmates and to become familiar with the SI campus and student life. For more information, and to register, visit the Cat Camp page on the SI Summer Programs website.
Community Service
All SI students are required to complete 75 hours of community service between the first day of frosh year and the first day of senior year. The Office of Community Service and Social Justice will introduce the community service requirements during the first semester and assist students in connecting with local non-profit organizations.
We look forward to supporting the Class of 2026 as you engage with marginalized groups outside of the classroom and in their local communities. Visit the Community Service section of our website, check out the Class of 2026 Service Requirement page, or stop by our office any time. We are located in the Student Center next to the Prep Shop. Please reach out if you have any questions at sicommunityservice@siprep.org.
