The PSAT is administered nationally to all college-bound Juniors. Traditionally, SI's scores have been approximately 171, with boys doing slightly better than girls in math, girls slightly better than boys in writing, the genders alternating in verbal/critical reading. This is about the 80th national percentile.
With the class of 2017, the PSAT changed. The writing component was dropped and the math component shifted toward an increased emphasis on Data Interpretation and Math in Context (word problems). Scoring also was changed to parallel the SAT.
