Service Learning Opportunities Directory
The Office of Community Service has created a directory with a variety of service-learning opportunities for students to engage in virtual, remote, and in-person service activities. You can search for opportunities with keywords such as in-person service or letter writing.
The short video below shows you how to use it. The Service-Learning Directory will be updated weekly so we encourage students to be reviewing it frequently. We are excited to share it with you!
Additionally, we want to respect the comfort level of each family with regard to any in-person service opportunities. Some parents may permit their students to volunteer in-person, like at a food bank that enforces COVID-19 safety protocols. Other parents may feel more comfortable with their students engaging virtually by tutoring students over Zoom or writing letters to elders in our community. The CSSJ Office wants to emphasize that students are not required to participate in in-person service at this time. We are empowering students to communicate with their families and to sign up for activities that interest them.
For any additional information or questions, please reach out to our office at firstname.lastname@example.org, or stop by the Office of Community Service and Social Justice in the student center during school hours.
