St. Ignatius

Back to School Night

Thursday, September 5, 2019

On Thursday, September 5, St. Ignatius will hold its annual Back-to-School Night for parents. It is designed to give you a shortened "day in the life” of your son or daughter. The faculty and administration hope that this night will be both informative and enjoyable for you. Another great aspect of Back to School Night is meeting the parents of your children's friends; you will be given name tags to fill out and wear during your first period class.

The schedule for the evening is listed here. Please ask your daughter or son to fill in the specific information regarding her/his courses, teachers, and room numbers and bring it with you when you come on Thursday evening. During their child's resource period, sophomore parents should go to the Wall Choral Room for a presentation on our tenth grade Wellness Seminar. Freshman, junior, and senior parents may visit other areas on campus during their child’s resource period.

Most classrooms are very easy to locate; others are a bit more of a challenge, including those located in the West Campus across Columbus Piazza. Service Club members will be available to assist you in locating the classrooms, gyms and theaters. You will be able to meet with members of our Campus Ministry, Cura Freshmen formation Program, Magis, Academic Support, and Community Service staffs. Counselors will be available in the 2nd floor Counseling Center during the lunch period to say hello; for longer conversations, please call the Counseling Center to schedule an appointment. Enjoy refreshments during the lunch period in Carlin Commons, and stop by the Adult Spirituality Team table in the Commons to find out about programs for parents.

Parking will be difficult. Please carpool, and plan to arrive in plenty of time to find a place.

We look forward to seeing you on the 5th!
