High School Courses

Academic Summer Program 2008
- For students entering 9th grade in fall 2008: High school prep program (not limited to SI students)
- For students entering 7th or 8th grade in fall 2008: Select from a variety of course offerings
- Dates: June 16 - July 18. July 3 & 4 are holidays.
- Time: 9 a.m. - noon.
- Cost: $695
- Optional course: Computer Applications1 8 a.m. - 8:50 a.m. Additional cost of $180
Sports Camps of All Types 2008
- Ages and times vary. May be combined with academic programs.
- Dates: June 9 - July 25. July 3 & 4 are holidays.
- Time: Morning camps: 9 a.m. - noon; Afternoon camps: 1 - 4 p.m.
- Cost varies by camp. Includes a camp T-shirt.
New for 2008! Musical Theatre Camp
- For ages 6 - 14.
- Students will enjoy two weeks of fundamental training in singing, dancing and acting.
- Each session will be capped by a live performance on Friday evening for family and friends.
- May be combined with academic programs.
- Dates: Session I: June 16 - June 27 (two weeks) Session II: July 7 - July 18 (two weeks)
- Time: 1 - 4 p.m.
- Cost: $380 per two-week session. Includes a camp T-shirt.
New for 2008! Art Camp
- For ages 11 - 14.
- Students will experience a focused and intensive study in painting. In preparation for one large painting,
students will learn and practice drawing,color theory and techniques in paint application and glazing.
All aspiring artists are welcome! - May be combined with academic programs.
- Dates: June 23 - June 27
- Time: 1 - 4 p.m.
- Cost: $220 (includes materials fee). Includes a camp T-shirt.
Summer Cat Camp for Incoming St. Ignatius Freshmen: Class of 2012
- Meet your new classmates and explore the SI campus!
- Dates: July 21 - July 25, 2008: New dates! One week only!
- Time: TBA
- Cost: $410 for the week
- Cost includes a sweatshirt, daily lunch and social event on Friday afternoon.
- Enrollment limited to the first 50 boys and 50 girls to register.
- These courses are not remedial courses. These courses are for currently enrolled SI students. The spaces available will be opened to non-SI students on April 10, 2008.
- Dates: June 9 - July 18. July 3 & 4 are holidays.
- Times: Times vary by course.
- Courses to be offered in 2008 include Advanced Algebra (no credit course), Astronomy, Biology, Chemistry, Drivers' Education, Fiction Into Film, Physics, Religious Studies 400 and World History 2 .
- Cost: Cost varies by course.
- Registration site opens on Monday, March 10 at 6 a.m.
- You will need a Visa or Mastercard to register.
- You will need your student's user name and password in order to register.
Magis 2008
- For students entering 7th grade (limited spaces available for students entering 8th grade)
- Dates: June 16 - July 18. July 3 & 4 are holidays.
- Time: 8:15 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
- Cost: Sliding scale based on family income.
- Year-round academic enrichment program to prepare low income and first generation college bound students for a college prep high school

* FREE of CHARGE: Supervised area for early drop off from 8 a.m. - 9 a.m.
* FREE of CHARGE: Supervised lunch area from noon to 1 p.m. in our school cafeteria.
Students may bring a bag lunch or purchase it.
