Science Summer Reading

AP Chemistry: In the required text:  Chemistry:  Principles and Reactions by Masterton and Hurley, 6th Edition.  Read first four chapters (they are all review) and complete the Summary Problem found at the end of each chapter (for chapter 4, just do a and b, and read 4.1 - 4.3).  All work must be shown.  There will be a test on this material the first day of school.  Additionally, you will be responsible for memorizing the polyatomic ions and solubility rules attached. You will also be tested on this the first day of school.

AP Physics:
 The summer assignment is posted on Canvas.  It will be accessible starting June 12.

 
AP Computer Science Summer Reading 

Please go to the following link http://codehs.com/go/5DB1C , sign up for CodeHS, join our class: "AP Computer Science in Java" (class code = 5DB1C), and be careful to complete the correct course.  CodeHS has a number of different courses and you do not want to incorrectly complete the "Intro to Computer Science" course which is in a different programming language.

Once you have signed up for the course, complete the first two modules "Introduction to Programming in Java with Karel the Dog" and "Basic Java."  There will be a test on these materials during our first week of classes.


Schedules will be mailed June 24 for continuing students.  Freshmen schedules will be mailed August 5, 2017.

SI Bookstore Pickup & Pay service will be the only way to purchase textbooks on-campus for Fall 2017 - Spring 2018.
Details will be posted later this summer at www.siprep.org/bookstore and mailed with student class schedules during the summer.
