Pro golfer Andrea Wong '12 reports from Europe
Posted 05/05/2017 12:23PM

After three weeks in Morocco and Spain for my first two events on the Ladies European Tour, I am back in US! My travels abroad were fantastic and I had an incredible experience competing.

I made the cut in both Morocco and Spain, but I didn't quite have the finishes I wanted. That being said—I learned so much. There were glimpses of greatness every day, and I believe I have what it takes to compete and finish on top of the leaderboard, after tightening up my ball striking and course management. All in all, it was a lot of fun playing new courses, meeting other players, and experiencing new cultures, but I am also excited to be home for a few weeks work to on my game and spend time with friends and family. This e-mail is but a brief recap on the trip, and there are lots more details, stories, photos and more up on my blog! Morocco is up and Spain will be published in just a couple more days!

Memory of the Month:

Adventuring in Barcelona! After the tournament in Spain, I was able to spend a couple extra days in Barcelona and explore the city. This was my first time in Europe, so I was super grateful to actually get some time to experience the culture and famous architecture. My favorite experience was getting lost in the streets of the Gothic Quarter—the narrow streets, tall buildings, and small cafes/shops were all spectacular.

What's up next?

This May I have two events. The big one is US Open Qualifying in Colorado at Riverdale Dunes on May 24th, and to prep for that I will be playing in a mini Cactus Tour Event in Arizona next week!

Thank you so much for your support. This is just the beginning and I can't wait for what is ahead. I am still looking to grow my team and there are always new ways to get involved. Don't hesitate to ever reach out with questions!
