San Francisco Case Studies
San Francisco Case Studies is an annual event to provide junior parents/guardians and their students an opportunity to learn and understand the college admission process by reviewing sample college applications. The event is held at Archbishop Riordan on Sunday, April 23, 2017, from 2:30PM to 5PM (doors open at 2:15PM)
Families must sign up to this event at their specific school sites. We are asking families to download the sample applications below prior to the event so they can be ready to discuss the applications with the college admission representatives and decide who will receive an acceptance, wait list or denial letter from the fictitious college.
We encourage families to bring their laptops or tablets to view their downloaded applications at Case Studies.
- Please download the sample applications below prior to the event.
- Students and parents/guardians will be in separate classrooms.
The second part of the event, families will have an opportunity to attend a college fair with 100 college admission officers. Below are the necessary documents to download for Case Studies:
- Reading Tips
- Jefferson University Profile
- Candidate Rating Form
- Case 1 - Parker Edwards
- Case 2 - Consuelo Martinez
- Case 3 - Kevin Matthews
- Case 4 - Rachael Siegal
It is NOT recommended to download the files on the day of the event since there are several pages. Please take the time to download and read over the information prior. Hard copies will not be available onsite. If you have any questions about the event, please contact your school's college counselor.
We look for to seeing you at the San Francisco Case Studies!
