Helping with Therapeutic Horseback Riding

Service Opportunity:  Halleck Creek Ranch is a special ranch that invites people with disabilities, and their families, to live a "life without barriers" through the beneficial activity of therapeutic horseback riding.

SI students may be able to serve as program volunteers. Program volunteer positions are available Monday - Thursday, as well as Saturdays. Halleck Creek Ranch is located in Nicasio.

Program Volunteers help with the riding portion of our program by grooming and tacking-up horses, leading horses for our special riders and side walking and engaging our riders. No horse experience is required. Volunteers must attend a scheduled orientation to complete the required paperwork, and are provided initial and on-going training while they volunteer.
