Paul Nicholas Ilacqua May 26, 1952- Feb. 16, 2012 Born May 26, 1952, to Nicholas and Joan (Walsh) Ilacqua, both now deceased. Passed from this life too soon on February 16, 2012, after a brief battle with cancer. Loving husband of Janet (Noordhoff) Ilacqua. Devoted father of Nicholas Ilacqua (Kristina Scott). Beloved brother of Patricia (Jack) Bonanno. Caring uncle of Janine Bonanno, Annette (Robert) Olinger, Jacqueline (Derrick) Pallas, Catherine Bonanno, and Genevieve Mesch. Respected brother-in-law of Jack Bonanno, Paulette Noordhoff, and Mary Mesch. Born and raised in San Francisco, graduated from St. Anne's Grammar School and St. Ignatius College Preparatory. Paul earned a Bachelor's degree at Santa Clara University and his Master's degree in Mathematics from Stanford University. Truly a math scholar, Paul helped many young people excel in Mathematics. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, March 1, 2012, with a Rosary to be said at 10:00 A.M., at Hotchkiss Mortuary, located at 5 West Highlands Avenue in Tracy, California. Flowers should be sent to the mortuary. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:30 A.M. at St. Bernard's Catholic Church, located at 163 West Eaton Avenue in Tracy. Burial will follow at Tracy Public Cemetery, located at East Schulte Road and MacArthur Road in Tracy. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in Paul's memory.
