They support the Jesuit philosophy of cura personalis and cura communis, caring for the individual and maintaining positive, respectful relationships with all members of the community. They also support Jesuit commitment to a faith that does justice.
They meet the needs of students of differing backgrounds and abilities and encouraging students to be risk-takers who learn from their mistakes. They also model and encourage an enthusiastic desire for lifelong learning.
They are also well prepared and engage in ongoing professional development. Nearly 100 hold masters degrees, and another five have earned their doctoral degrees.

Mr. Eric Castro
Born and raised in Visitation Valley, Mr Castro has only attended schools in San Francisco: Our Lady of the Visitation, St Ignatius College Prep, SFSU, and USF. After coaching speech and debate for ten-years, Mr Castro co-moderated the school newspaper before moving on to Art & Publicity, and Track & Field. He's taught Public Speaking, World History 1, and AP Psychology; he's served as the Social Science Department Chair, and is now the school's Educational Technologist.
