They support the Jesuit philosophy of cura personalis and cura communis, caring for the individual and maintaining positive, respectful relationships with all members of the community. They also support Jesuit commitment to a faith that does justice.
They meet the needs of students of differing backgrounds and abilities and encouraging students to be risk-takers who learn from their mistakes. They also model and encourage an enthusiastic desire for lifelong learning.
They are also well prepared and engage in ongoing professional development. Nearly 100 hold masters degrees, and another five have earned their doctoral degrees.

Mrs. Katie Blaesing
Katie joined the SI family in 2012 after working as the Director of Counseling at Mercy High School, Burlingame. Katie began her career in education as a teacher at Charles Armstrong School in Belmont. After earning her Masters in Counseling Psychology she made the switch to school counseling. She brings her passion for theatre to the SI community through her involvement in SI Cabaret.
