They meet the needs of students of differing backgrounds and abilities and encouraging students to be risk-takers who learn from their mistakes. They also model and encourage an enthusiastic desire for lifelong learning.
They are also well prepared and engage in ongoing professional development. Nearly 100 hold masters degrees, and another five have earned their doctoral degrees.

Mr. Ray Orque

A Bay Area native, Señor Orque attended SI, where he started his studies of Spanish. During his time at UC Davis, he studied abroad in Madrid, Spain. However, he also studied Japanese and then studied in Kyoto, Japan!
Before SI, Señor Orque taught Spanish 1 at the middle school level. At SI he has taught Spanish 2H and Spanish 3 and has served as Spanish 2H Level Leader. This year, he will teach Spanish 1 and 3H. Currently he serves as co-moderator of the Asian Students Coalition and the Faculty Liaison for the Saint Ignatius Parents' Asian Club (SIPAC).
