Our Faculty

Click below on the profile links to learn more about our stellar faculty. You will discover that they are engaged in all three strands of our work – co-curricular, academic and spiritual – showing their commitment to strive towards the Magis – the more.

They support the Jesuit philosophy of cura personalis and cura communis, caring for the individual and maintaining positive, respectful relationships with all members of the community. They also support Jesuit commitment to a faith that does justice.

They meet the needs of students of differing backgrounds and abilities and encouraging students to be risk-takers who learn from their mistakes. They also model and encourage an enthusiastic desire for lifelong learning.

They are also well prepared and engage in ongoing professional development. Nearly 100 hold masters degrees, and another five have earned their doctoral degrees.

Mr. Joo is lucky. He gets to teach the most interesting subject of psychology to some of the most amazing students in the bay area during an amazing epoch of instant connectivity.

Mr. Joo hopes to use cutting edge teaching practices and digital tools for the sole purpose of engaging and sustaining student motivation, learning, and understanding in any way possible. He is excited by how teaching and learning will evolve in the next twenty years and hopes to be fully engaged as both teacher and learner.

Outside the classroom, Mr. Joo also co-moderates SITV, our video announcements club that produces twoweekly shows.

In his spare time, he enjoys making his daughter giggle, having neighborhood meals with his lovely wife, playing an occasional round of golf and reading every 49ers article in the blogosphere.
