Freshman "Cura" Program
It can be tough for freshmen at any school to find their place in their new home. To help with this transition, SI created the Cura Freshman Formation Program.
This program also helps students deepen their knowledge of themselves, create community with peers and an adult, develop an understanding of Ignatian spiritualtiy and promote wellness and healthy habits.
Here's how it works:
- Every freshman is assigned to a group of 10-13 freshmen and one adult leader — an administrator, teacher, or staff member.
- These groups meet once a week for 40 minutes throughout the year.
- The goal is to encourage students to grow into the person they have been called by God to be. Central to that formation are healthy relationships with fellow students and with at least one adult who will know them well.
