A Message From Your SI Student Body President

Dear SI,

When you put together uniquely talented individuals, red and blue face paint, and a gym echoing “Sanctuary” - you get SI. Throughout the summer, Student Council worked hard to plan the best 2013-2014 experience for our school. We came up with three goals for the year - the three C’s - communication, community, and confidence.

Communication: To fully support each other, we need to be informed on what is happening around campus. We have added a publicity committee to student council and will have an ongoing presence in InsideSI as well as social media.

Community: We want everyone to know they are valued at SI. To represent the many diverse communities within our school, we have expanded the student council and added more relevant positions. Together we will find ways to spotlight and celebrate individuals throughout the year.

Confidence: The theme for the year - Ignite the Fire Within: AMDG - calls us to be our best selves so that we can go forth and have an impact on our world. We believe that when people are confident they are happier, make better decisions, and have a better high school experience. We hope to channel that amazing love and support we have at SI to create a culture of confidence in our school community.

Whether from the stage, the stands, or the chapel - I am so proud to call myself a Wildcat. Let’s show our spirit in every aspect of the school and work together to make this year exactly what we want it be. This is our year!

Sincerely,

Sarah Armstrong

Student Body President
