From Science to God by Peter Russell

Group I  - Preface, Intro & Ch. 1  - Due May 9th – 4th, May 10th – 6th

Group II - Ch. 2 & 3  - Due May 10th – 4th, May 11th – 6th

Group III  - Ch. 4 & 5  - Due May 11th – 4th, May 12th, - 6th

Group IV - Ch. 6 & 7  - Due May 15th -4th, May 15th – 6th

Group V - Ch. 8 & 9  - Due May 16th – 4th, May 17th – 6th

The homework for the next week is to read according to the above schedule.  Please come to class with text, minimum of 3 conclusions Russell makes and at least 1-2 questions you have given the chapters you read.  Please write these conclusions and questions neatly on a separate piece of paper as they will guide you in the discussion.

(I will check to see that you have done the homework for each section listed)

When your group is assigned, you do not need to do the homework, as you are asked to do the following, which is more extensive than the daily homework.

Each group needs to do the following:

• Prepare outline of chapters in order to teach small group and prepare for class discussion.
• Focus the outline with specific questions – minimum 3 Guiding Questions, and how Peter Russell answers those questions.
• Begin with a clear focus and include in the outline/discussion your own insights, each group member will share and turn in their work.

• Begin with clear Introduction: share your own insights, questions, understanding.
• Lead group/class with guiding questions.
• Conclude with some final thoughts based on your reading and our discussions in class.

• Turn in to Mr. H, a 1 pg., 1 ½  spaced-typed summary of your reading outline with 3 Guiding Questions and how Russell answers them.  I need one from each student.  Feel free to list questions where you are unclear on what Russell is saying, that is certainly appropriate.
