SI's Literary Resources
SI has a variety of literary resources, starting with our own Wilsey Library.
Good Old-Fashioned Books: Start any research project there and don't be afraid to ask for help. You will find far more information available in print through the various reference texts and collections of critical essays than you will find on the Internet. You'll also waste far less time this way.
In addition to the texts available at our library, you can also use the resources of USF's Gleeson Library by showing your student body card at the front desk. (This service is open to all students attending Catholic high schools in San Francisco; and while you may enter the library, you are not allowed to check out books.) Click here for information on USF's Gleeson Library .
CD-ROMS: The Wilsey Library also has an extensive collection of CD-ROMS dealing with plays, poetry and literary criticism. You may check out these CD's at the front desk and use them in the library.

The Wilsey Library also offers a web page featuring various Internet search tools. Click here to go to that page.
MacLab: On each of the computers on the 2nd floor MacLab, you will find an English folder. You'll find "Unreal City," a great hypertext program on T.S. Eliot's "The Waste Land" and a host of other resources.
The English Center: Additional software and videos are available to your teacher at SI's English Center, located next to Mr. Bjorkquist's classroom. If you need a film version of a novel or a play for a class project, ask your teacher if we have it in stock. We also have HAL, the English Department's traveling computer and LCD projector. If you're interested in using it for a classroom presentation (with Powerpoint or with a CD-ROM), feel free to ask your teacher about its availability. HAL can plug into the Internet in each classroom, and
