Directions

YOUR TASK: Along with your group, you will research one of the topics listed below and prepare a 5 to 10 minute presentation to inform your classmates of what you found out about your topic.

• Take notes as you go along and be sure to record your sources as you are working.

• When researching your topics, ask yourself Who? What? Where? Why? And How?

• Prepare and submit an outline of your presentation, including: an introduction,the body, and a conclusion.

• Prepare and deliver a 5 to 10 minute PowerPoint presentation. Each group

member must speak during the delivery of the presentation.

− Prepare at least 6 PowerPoint slides to accompany your presentation

− Be sure to use a font and size that is easily readable

− DO NOT use a distracting background

− Hand in a copy of the Power Point presentation one day ahead of the

scheduled date for your presentation. (use the “handout” option with 6

slides per page and print in “grayscale.”)

− I will help you with Power Point if you are unfamiliar with the program or

have questions on how to do something.

• Each group MUST submit an outline, a copy of their presentation, and a “Works

Cited” page before they deliver their presentation.

− We will also go over how to compile a “Works Cited” page (like a

bibliography).

• Your research should include at least three references (one source that is not from the Internet).

• Groups must work together on their own time if not finished during class time.
