Final Reflection on Dignity, Identity, Relationships
and Sexuality
After this unit of discussing dignity, identity, relationships and sexuality,
your final assignment has two sections:
PART A:
Write a 1 ½ page (350-400 words) typed (12 pt font, standard margins,
etc.) reflection paper summarizing:
- What you have learned (either new information, or information
that you already knew but now have a new understanding of);
- How you think this information will impact your life (if any);
Consider these questions as applying throughout your paper:
- What kind of permanent relationships are you looking for in the future?
- What characteristics would be important for you to find in a partner?
- How can you recognize differences between infatuation and love?
- What will a healthy relationship look like for you?
- What things are non-negotiable for you in a relationship?
- Do you know what your limits are in a relationship? Are you comfortable
expressing these limits to your partner? If not, what would it take for
you to understand and establish those limits?
PART B:
Construct some kind of imaginative project that creatively expresses some
of what you have learned and experienced in the course of this unit. Some
ideas include (but are not limited to):
- a relationship and sexuality mission statement;
- my commandments for having healthy relationships;
- a poem about hopes for relationships;
- a ‘last will and testament’ for how my relationships will
be when I die;
- an original painting/ sculpture/ drawing that expresses some theme or
idea that has been essential to this unit
