Studio Art C - Sacred Symbols

Course Description
A "hands-on" class focused on the exploration of symbols and universal signs used as visual expressions in art, architecture and religious imagery. In this integrated approach to learning about cultures, religions and the arts each student will create several art projects that represent the traditions studied. The final collaborative class project will be a mosaic composite -- a presentation of the symbols studied and created during the semester.

NOTE: Sacred Symbols will also fulfill the one semester Senior elective Religious Studies requirement for graduation.
