Chad Zullinger earned a Bachelor of Music degree in composition from the California State University, San Francisco.  Mr. Zullinger is a native Californian where he has taught both in public and private high schools in the San Francisco bay area.  During his residency at the University of Delaware, Mr. Zullinger completed his Master of Music in Choral Conducting.  In the spring of 2005, Mr. Zullinger was the acting director of Choral Activities which included preparing the prestigious UD Chorale for performances of the Verdi’s Requiem with the Delaware Symphony Orchestra and Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana at the Kimmel Center in Philadelphia.

Since 2005 Mr. Zullinger’s high school choir programs have consistently earned the rating of Unanimous Superior at the California Music Educator Association choir festivals, the Napa Valley Invitational Choral Classic, and the prestigious Golden State Choir Competition, Southern California.  For the past two years, Mr. Zullinger was the Director of Vocal Music at Albany High School, conducting four curricular choirs ranging from men’s and women’s choirs to a larger mixed Concert Choir and advanced Chorale.  In the summer of 2007 he completed his first season as a performer at the Carmel Bach Festival performing J.S. Bach’s St. Matthew Passion, and most recently was an American delegate at the 8th World Symposium on Choral Music in Copenhagen, Denmark.

He is a member of the American Choral Directors Association, Music Educators National Conference, and the Pi Kappa Lambda National Music Honor Society.  Presently, he resides in the East Bay with his wife, Angela.
