San Francisco - Switzerland Exchange Program

We have the opportunity to participate, once again, in an exchange program with the Kantonsschule Enge, in Zurich, Switzerland. St. Ignatius students have participated in this program for the past three years and we are anticipating 5 or 6 spots for this coming year. We are one of 5 schools in the Bay Area that participates in the exchange.
Kantonsschule Enge is an academically rigorous public high school in Zurich. This cultural exchange is with students in the third year of their English immersion program, equivalent to our junior year here. The Swiss students will be placed with our host families for their three week stay in the fall and our students will spend three weeks in Zurich immediately following the end of our school year next June. The program is coordinated through the San Francisco/ Zurich Initiative, an organization that fosters knowledge sharing between businesses and educational institutions in the two areas (see http//www.sfzhinitiative.com).
