Welcome and thank you for your interest in St. Ignatius College Preparatory.

St. Ignatius is committed to working with qualified students who have learning disabilities (LD) and/or attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). All students at SI, regardless of disability meet the same admissions criteria and are able to compete in a rigorous college preparatory setting. Academic support services and reasonable accommodations are available for students who have documented LD and/or ADHD. As educators, our mission is to challenge and support all students and to foster academic success, personal responsibility and leadership potential within the scholastic, spiritual and extracurricular spheres of the school.

Qualified students with LD or ADHD interact with a dedicated staff in the LD Support Services Office who can partner with them in the determination and arrangement of reasonable accommodations that unfold in the classrooms of SI and on high stakes college admissions testing. Support services include training on assistive technology and self advocacy skills designed to foster independence and success during high school and beyond.

Our team complements, rather than substitutes for, the academic support given students by their individual teachers and works to integrate all of the resources of the school to nurture the total formation of the student.

As you continue to investigate your options for the next step of your academic journey, please feel free to contact Ms. Sarah Merrell, LDSSS Counselor by phone at 415 731-7500, ext. 244 or by email at smerrell@siprep.org.

Sincerely,

Patrick M. Ruff
Principal
