"C" is for Cookie

Club Leaders:
Moderator: Mr. Thomas
Statement of Purpose: C is for Cookie exists to provide a student forum to:
  • Discuss and share feelings and thoughts about specific issues of particular relevance to teenagers in a supportive community atmosphere

  • Encourage open and honest communication among all students at SI

  • Allow students to hear and comment on the experiences of their peers

  • Provide an opportunity for outside experts to offer their wisdom and knowledge

  • Encouage a sense of community that seeks to prevent isolation and alienation
Planned Activities: There are monthly powwows (gatherings in the Library) where one expert and 3-4 student speakers share information and stories to peers about a certain topic. Cookies are handed out at the end of each powwow, hence the name "C" is for Cookie.
Meeting Days / Times: Every Tuesday at 5th and 4th period lunch meeting are held in the peer counseling center on the second floor to discuss ideas for the next powwow.
Requirements for Membership: The requirement for membership of "C" is for cookie is to be a Saint Ignatius student and to attend as many meetings and powwows as possible.
How to Join: We are a very open and friendly club. Plus we want as much feedback and ideas as we can get!
