Statement of Purpose:

The Association of African American Students (AAAS) is designed to make students feel comfortable in their learning environment, by embracing the Jesuit philosophy of spiritual academics and service. By helping students become involved in life at SI, AAAS shows students that they are not on the outside looking in and can make a difference in what goes on around them. The AAAS strives to learn and teach the St. Ignatius community about the richness of the African American culture, past and present.

Planned Activities:

AAAS Social, , Community Service, Bake Sales, Christmas Party, Black History Month Celebration, SI International Food Faire, Movie Nights

Meeting Days / Times:

Members: Wednesday's at recess in rm 109; Council Meetings: Monday's at 5th period lunch in room 103

 
Requirements for Membership: All SI students are welcomed
