2008 Core Project
Core Project Application Due Date is May 21, 2008.
Students are encouraged to provide their Core Project Application by May 21 to ensure they receive a Core Journal prior to starting summer service.

Students can sign up for appointments with CS staff after May 1, 2008 outside the CS Office.
Students are not required to sign up to meet with CS staff at any particular time. These hours are here to support student planning for their summer activities. They are useful for students who want to make sure they have an appointment to complete their Core Service process.
Students can drop into the CS Office without an appointment though students with appointments will have priority. During March and April, we are here to meet with students as well--the sooner you begin planning, the easier the process will be.

Please note the Christian Service Center will have Summer Office Hours--and that students can receive journals over the summer. This May 21 due date is to facilitate the hundreds of students who do Core Projects each summer. If a student finds that they are able to do a Core Project during the summer, all they need to do is come to SI during our Summer Office Hours to meet with staff--and to process the application (and get a journal).

In May
Ms. Girard and Ms. Boyd will have appointments available for students on a first come first served basis. The purpose of our appointment system is to provide specialized and focused time to students who need more assistance. After May 15, our time will be more limited because we will be working with hundreds of students who are applying to do Core Service Projects.
We strongly recommend that students come in to see us in our office as soon as you can--if you have any questions or want help walking through the Core Steps. We are available during March and April to help as well--students can just swing on in to see us. In May we suggest that students make an appointment since we tend to be a little more busy!
Generally, our office hours (and the hours for our appointments) are the following:
Before School between 8am-8:25am
During Lunch periods both 4th and 5th
After school for at least 30 minutes
If you need to see us at a time different that these regularly scheduled office hours, no problem....just let Ms. G know and she will work out a time to meet with you!
