This past September several of the SI girls got the oppurtunity to qualify to play against the pros in the San Francisco Tennis Classic. Thanks to SF Tennis Classic's founders Tim Harper and Peanut Louie - Natalie Dillon, Danielle Sabalvaro, Carmen Lam, Janice Lam and Natasha Mendoza were given the oppurtunity to participate in this once in a lifetime doubles tournament. The invitational was comprised by an elite group of San Francisco high school girls. The winning team would get the wildcard entry into the qualifier for this USTA sanctioned tournament.
The team of Dillon and Sabalvaro, reached the finals to play against Lowell's team of Lam and Tsodikova at the Golden Gateway Club. The sister team of Carmen Lam and Janice Lam had lost to Lowell's team the day before. The finals was a great hard fought match by both team as evident by the 3 set score. Dillon and Sabalvaro gave it their all but eventually Lam and Tsodikova won the tournament.
Special thanks to Tim Harper, Peanut Louie, and Phil Sleeper for giving the SF high school girls this oppurtunity.
