In the category of "The
Cat is Out of the Bag":
Our 200 Free Relay (Francesca, Natalie, Darcie and MacKenzie) is currently
ranked 30th in the nation for Independent schools (see the attached file).
Click
here for updated list.
At the end of the year, only the Top 30 schools will be deemed All-American.
This is surely to change as others schools throughout the nation wrap-up
their seasons, but this is the highest in-season ranking we have achieved
in school history.
The 2003 200 Free Relay (Alex Lollini '04, Liz Jensen '03, Misao Tachibana
'05 and Francesca Lollini '05) finished with the highest final ranking
in 36th...just 0.31 seconds from 30th place. And not to be outdone, the
2004 200 Free Relay (MacKenzie Campbell '07, Alex Lollini '04, Katie Fitzpatrick
'04 and Francesca Lollini '05) finished in 41st.
Much work to be done and much faster times await. With big meets at DLS
Invite (with NCS top dog Carondelet), Mitty dual meet, WCAL Champs and
CCS....there are still many chances for us to go faster. Remember although
its four who swim...its the team that trains/motivates them to go faster.
Just this past week...seeing Natalie lead sets are a few of the signs
that I have seen that mean more fast swims are in the bag.
Time will tell.
