St. Ignatius Women's Team Performance Record

The Women's Team started with the Class of 1993 breaking ground and creating a team for women to come and participate (thus the name for one of our boats). They were the first class of women to graduate having rowed all four years at SI. By 1994 the Women's Team brought home its first Gold medals from the South West Regional Championships and thus the precedent had been set and every year since 1994 these athlete's have brought home Gold, Silver, or Bronze. In fact, the record is pretty impressive with 20 Gold, 15 Silver, 11 Bronze, 2 San Diego Crew Classic Cups, a State Team Title and 2 bronze titles at the highly coveted National Championships. This is truly a testimony to the all the women that have paved the way as well and an inspiration for those to follow.
