The Tools to Succeed in College

SI changed its name from St. Ignatius High School to St. Ignatius College Preparatory in 1969 when we moved to our 11-acre Sunset District campus. But from our first days serving the youth of the Bay Area, we have tried to prepare students to succeed at the university of their choice. (Typically, 97 percent of our students attend a four-year college and 3 percent attend a two-year college.)

Each year, SI sends students to prestigious East Coast colleges such as Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Brown, Columbia and Dartmouth and to the great West Coast universities of Stanford, UC Berkeley and Cal Tech. (Here's a list of the colleges students attended last year.)

Our goal, however, is to help all students find the college that is right for them. Our counseling staff can provide students with the resources they need to find the university that fits them best.
